Eureka Helps Homeowners Get a Handle on Vacuuming

- Optima is one of Eureka's progressive design initiatives to improve and invent the next "a-ha" features in vacuums. Led by Sandlin, Eureka's design team worked closely with ergonomic specialists to observe how people maneuver vacuums as well as to discuss how they vacuum and what they need. What Eureka found was that an upright vacuum's traditional heft and linear-shaped handle made maneuvering uncomfortable and difficult.
