  • Particle board (also styled as one word: particleboard) is an engineered-wood product made from fine wood particles mixed with resin and pressed into large sheets. Sometimes called chipboard, particle board is technically a type of fiberboard, a family that includes hardboard and medium-density fiberboard (MDF).
