The chimney boasts two inches of high-temperature blanket mineral insulation that increases performance by keeping the flue hot and allowing a better draft. This insulation is twice as thick as the competition's and increases safety by preventing settling. The insulation also diminishes the creation of voids, which foster the development of hot spots. Because of this, the chimney runs at cooler, safer temperatures and requires only one inches of clearance to combustible materials.
