  • The electronic combustion control system on the Elite Plus residential heating boiler automatically adjusts to the type and quality of fuel being used, says the firm, ensuring a constant, optimum air-to-gas combustion mixture. The boiler features a 10-to-1 turndown ratio, allowing the 199,000-BTU/hour unit to modulate down to 19,900 BTU/hour.   • Heat Transfer Products (HTP) is unveiling a more powerful and more versatile line of high-efficiency residential boilers, with inputs ranging from 80,000 Btu per hour to 399,000 Btu/h and an industry-leading turndown ratio of six to one. The Elite Heating Boiler Series is the first of two new residential lines from the makers of the popular Munchkin line that helped pioneer modulating-condensing (mod-con) boiler technology in this country in the mid-1990s. Previewed at the recent AHR Expo in Chicago, the Elite will be ready for shipment by the third quarter of 2009, according to HTP president David Martin.

  • Available in indoor or outdoor models, tank-less gas water heaters measure 23 inches high, 14 inches wide, and 10 inches deep, making them ideal for small spaces, such as attics and closets. Available in June, users can choose from two flow rates: a natural gas 7.5 gpm model or a 9.4 gpm unit available in natural gas or LP gas.
