New InstaMist Heats Things Up in a Hurry

- The Steamist InstaMist features a stainless steel strip heater that allows the generator to preheat the water. The heater, which is UL recognized and CSA certified, is secured to the outside of the water tank below the normal water level. On average, InstaMist preheats the water to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Based on this average preheated temperature, the time required to produce steam ranges from 30 to 60 seconds, depending on the generator model. Steamist steam baths create a calming, stress-relieving environment, while also providing numerous health benefits.

Gerber Wins Gold and Silver ADEX Awards

- Design Journal recently announced the recipients of the 2007 Awards for Design Excellence (ADEX), honoring Gerber Plumbing Fixtures LLC with two medals. - Jun. 4--Six months ago, I thought I'd made all the changes my kitchen needed. Granted, the fronts to the drawers came off if you pulled on the handles, and the gold flecks had worn off the Formica counter top, and we had to wash the ceiling every month because we didn't have a vent. I'd found a tall, deep, cheap shelf perfect for the free-range pots and pans roaming the stove top and kitchen cart.

The medium-sized bathroom in my hotel room was the shower, the entire floor a wooden platform covering a couple of drains below. In more recent years and nearer home, some Homearama homes have had huge, tiled shower areas without doors.
