ebuild Guide to Kitchen and Lavatory Sink Specifications
- ebuild (1/2/2007)
- When it comes to choosing a new sink, the list of potential candidates can be downright mind-boggling. - ebuild Guide to Shower Enclosure Specifications
- ebuild (1/2/2007)
- Shower enclosures come in several different configurations, but many are designed to fit into a corner. This space-efficient orientation serves as an alternative to a tub/shower unit in small bathrooms, though it can also complement larger baths. The enclosure itself consists of two glazed side panels and a glazed door, and takes advantage of the two intersecting walls to serve as the back of the enclosure. Back walls may be covered with any suitable waterproof finish material, including ceramic tile or solid surfacing. The enclosure is typically mounted on a prefabricated shower pan, sometimes called a tray, which serves as its foundation. It may also be installed atop a site-fabricated curb. In some cases, the manufacturer supplies side panels, door, and all the associated pieces of trim needed to install the enclosure, but does not supply the pan. In the case of shower enclosure "kits," the pan is also included.

- When Stone Forest earned a prestigious "Secret Source" honor from This Old House magazine this month, the firm's partners were flattered, but bewildered. This Old House magazine cited Stone Forest as a "secret source" of handcarved stone garden fountains, but the magazine doesn't know the half of it. - Finding Replacement Faucet Might Not Be Worth the Effort
- Augusta Chronicle, The (12/15/2006)
- Q: Ed, I am an associate professor, and I read your column about the person who wrote to you about how he should go about finding a nonstandard faucet for an old slant back sink.
