- Hanson Roof Tile, one of the country's leading manufacturers of roof tile, announces the expansion of the vibrant color blends of its Southern Collection to the Hacienda style tile produced at the company's newest facility in Sanderson. Now available in the Regal and Hacienda profiles, the Southern Collection comes in seven color blends: Sanderson, Molasses, Spanish Moss, Carolina, Plantation, Palmetto and Sweetgrass. The Sanderson plant started production in summer 2006 with an official opening held in January. Because of its northeast Florida location, the Sanderson facility enables Hanson to serve customers better in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

After researching alternatives, she came up with synthetic slate, a durable rubber composite made mostly from recycled tires that provided the traditional look her NIMBY neighbors demanded.
