Not only are Tamko's Lamarite Slate Composite Shingles an "attractive alternative to real slate," according to one judge, but they now come in five energy-saving cool colors that reflect the sun's heat instead of transferring it to the attic. The new Lamarite Slate Composite Shingle Cool Colors are Terra Cotta, Pale Olive, Cool Grey, Natural Sand and Almond Shell. Each Lamarite Slate Cool Color meets or exceeds Energy Star Program Requirements for 25 percent solar reflectivity, similar to TAMKO's MetalWorks Cool Color Steel Shingles.
