- Atlas Copco Compressors LLC is launching its new of two-stage, reciprocating piston compressors. Small and economical, the KT series of 5-20 hp compressors produces 15.3 to 70.7 ACFM at pressures of up to 175 psig. These units are perfectly suited for intermittent use in workshops and light industrial applications and are available in a variety of configurations: horizontal or vertical tank mounted, duplex horizontal tank mounted, and gas driven tank mounted.

- PORTER-CABLE unveiled a new 17 gallon air compressor, model C6001, with a vertical tank design, increased stored work capacity and an updated shroud for improved performance. Recognizing that floor space is at a premium, the 17 gallon vertical portable compressor tank, which includes a water drain valve, has a smaller footprint than horizontal tanks to take up less space and can be easily stored when not in use. The C6001 is factory-assembled with two wide-tread wheels for excellent stability and to allow the compressor to be easily moved.

Model D55168 Workshop Compressor with EHP Technology

- DeWalt. The D55168 workshop compressor features EHP technology, which combines an efficient hybrid motor with a high-pressure, high-flow pump, allowing for a large volume of air in a small tank, says the company. The unit offers a high level of performance with 200-psi maximum pressure, 5.4 scfm at 90 psi, and a 15-gallon tank, ensuring longer air tool runtimes with quicker recovery, the firm says; in testing, the unit had longer runtimes than competing models of 26 to 30 gallons. 800-433-9258.
