- Pacific Laser. The PLS90E layout tool is a self-leveling device that shoots fan-shaped layout lines at 90 degrees over a working range of 250 feet with a detector. The fan shape broadcasts each line in an arc that simultaneously projects the line out, down, and up--transferring each line onto floor, wall, and ceiling for inside layouts; the tool also can be used outside. - Designed for horizontal and vertical use, the Hilti PRI 2 Rotating Laser System is ideal for interior finishing, mechanical and electrical applications. With one-button operation, an infrared remote control and optional laser receiver, the PRI 2 system is easy to use and easy to set up, which helps save time and improve jobsite productivity. An extension of the Hilti rotating laser portfolio, the PRI 2 is self-leveling and can be set up vertically or horizontally. For vertical applications, the laser can set out right angles with a 90 degree beam. - Four cross line lasers in one, the Stanley FatMax CL54 has four lasers that create five points of reference: three horizontal and one vertical laser crosses (accurate within +/- 1/8 inch at 32 feet) and a plumb-down beam (accurate within +/- 1/4 inch at 50 feet). It has a range of up to 32 feet. The self-leveling unit, which can be used for a range of tasks, features adjustable 360-degree circle reading, fine-tune adjustment, compensator lock for transport, visible out-of-level alarm, and a removable floor trivet. It also can be used on a tripod.
- Laser Levels Bring Accuracy to the Job Site

- Laser Levels are capable of giving measurements greater than metal or wooden levels, and at affordable prices. It is important to keep levels protected from moisture, heat, and cold. Temperatures in excess of 110 degrees can impact operability of a laser level. In direct sunlight it is advisable to use a moist cloth or umbrella. The Levels, Laser category on ebuild lists laser levels for leveling purposes.

Introducing the VibroMet MB-LDV

- On display this week at Aerospace Testing Expo North America 2006 will be the new VibroMet MB-LDV, an easy to use non-contact instrument capable of simultaneously measuring vibrations at multiple locations on a target with extremely high sensitivity. Since all points are measured at the same time, transient events can be accurately measured. In addition, the relative phase between measurement locations can be used to generate modal vibration patterns in a single shot.
