Fuego Fiber-Cement Saw- ebuild (4/6/2009)
- The Fuego R3400 5-inch fiber-cement saw collects 90% of dust during cutting, the company says, plus 95% of dust when cutting other materials, such as slate and ceramic tile. The saw features an 8-amp motor, offers a no-load speed of 10,000 rpm, and weighs 7.4 pounds. It includes magnesium upper and lower guards, a tool-free bevel up to 45 degrees, and a spindle lock.
One-Handed Bar Clamp- ebuild (4/6/2009)
- The company has upgraded its one-handed bar clamp, making it appropriate for heavy-duty applications like installation, demolition, and rough glue-ups. The XP600's I-beam bar delivers 600 pounds of hold force, the company says, and its Power Lock system holds more pressure, longer. The new clamp includes an adjustable foot that allows it to stand upright, full face pads for even pressure distribution, and a Quick Change screw for clamp-to-spreader conversion. - The 2705 10-inch contractor table saw features an easy-to-use and -remove modular blade guard system, a precision machined table top that remains flat and true, a 3/8-inch-by-3/4-inch T-slot miter gauge with grooves to support material, and an easy-to-slide rip fence. Rotary and Demolition Hammers - ebuild (4/6/2009)
- The 11264EVS and 11265EVS 1 5/8-inch rotary hammers and the 11321EVS 12-pound demolition hammer feature Vibration Control technology. The technology includes an optimized impact mechanism that reduces vibration at the point of impact while increasing impact energy by 10 percent and allowing for 20 percent faster drilling in concrete, according to the company. A shock-absorbent main handle further reduces vibration and therefore user discomfort. The 11321EVS demo hammer, shown, offers 50 percent less vibration and delivers 9.6 foot-pounds of impact force. - The company has expanded its lines of "micro" 12-volt lithium-ion tools with the addition of a recip saw, a right-angle impact driver, and a flashlight. The WH10DCL right-angle impact driver (shown) offers 265 inch-pounds of turning torque, weighs 2.2 pounds, and features a low-profile head for hard-to-reach areas and a no-load speed of 0 to 2,100 rpm and 0 to 3,400 bpm. The CR10DL reciprocating saw has a 1 1/2-inch stroke length and a cutting speed of 0 to 2,700 spm.
