- Construction Products Review: Sealants and Adhesives
- BUILDING PRODUCTS Magazine (7/23/2007)
- Matt Belcher is a bona fide green builder. He doesn't pay attention to just the big details: solar orientation, a tightly built house, energy-efficient windows. He makes sure everything he specs on a project is as environmentally friendly as possible, right down to healthy, low-VOC caulks and adhesives. "All of my [subcontractors], even the drywall guys" use green adhesives, says the president of Belcher Homes in St. Louis. He even supplies his marble tile installers with adhesive to ensure they don't put down a formaldehyde-based product. "The nice thing, with more focus on it, is that more manufacturers are manufacturing to that standard," he says.

Bosch and DeWalt Angle Grinders
- TOOLS OF THE TRADE Magazine (7/16/2007)
- As a professional wood carver, I've had a 4-1/2-inch or 5-inch angle grinder with a carving disc attachment in my hands for six to eight hours a day for the last eight years. Speed, power, and dependability are all important to my productivity (as my wife and I say, "If I don't carve, we starve.").

Festool Circ Saw and Guide Rail System
- TOOLS OF THE TRADE Magazine (7/16/2007)
- I'm always tremendously skeptical about a tool that claims to "change how work is done" as Festool does for its plunge-cutting 8-1/4-inch, 13-amp TS 75 EQ circular saw system. But after testing the TS 75 EQ, the company's newest and largest saw, I believe every word of it.

Milwaukee Router Kit
- TOOLS OF THE TRADE Magazine (7/16/2007)
- I rely on routers for multiple tasks in my snowboard manufacturing shop; around here, they really get a workout. I recently tested Milwaukee's new 2-1/4-hp router combo kit in different stages of wood core production. With the fixed base, I template-cut wood cores, running the machine for hours at a time. I also tested the plunge-base operation and its ability to maintain depth tolerance while plunge-boring hundreds of holes in finished cores.
