September, 2010 - Knight Wall Systems Inc. today announced the launch of CI-Girt, a new rain screen system that accommodates continuous rigid insulation on the exterior of a building, significantly increasing the structure's energy efficiency.

"The CI-Girt system allows for cladding attachment over continuous insulation-a requirement of ASHRAE 90.1," Knight Wall Systems president Doug Knight said. "CI-Girt also saves money by reducing labor and materials costs, as it eliminates the need to manually cut and fit the insulation around girts and requires fewer materials to reach the same insulation values."

CI-Girt offers superior moisture handling and thermal performance and reduced risk of condensation, and is adaptable to any facade or cladding system. Knight says the new system enables a true continuously insulated exterior wall that will meet or exceed current and future energy codes.
