Hettich Develops Quadro 6 PYRO

May, 2009 -- Why clean the oven by hand after a sensational roast when there's an easier way – pyrolysis, a self-cleaning process that turns burnt-on oven grime to ash at high temperature. Based on its established Quadro technology, Hettich has developed "Quadro 6 PYRO", a no-maintenance runner capable of withstanding extreme heat for use in ovens with the convenient pyrolysis function. Particularly practical: Quadro 6 PYRO stays in the oven while the pyrolysis process gets the job done.

Convenience is equally as important in cooking and baking as it is in cleaning fitted appliances after they have been used. The pyrolysis function takes the effort out of cleaning the oven. Heating the oven to a temperature of up to 500°C, it disintegrates baked-on food and reduces it to ash. The extreme level of heat that is attained during the pyrolysis cycle is particularly challenging for the shelf runners inside the oven. Previously it has been necessary to remove them from the oven before starting the self-cleaning process, but the high temperature is not a problem for Hettich's new Quadro 6 PYRO.
