Grohe Blends Contemporary Design and Superior Ergonomics to Create Europlus New 7-degree Spout Perfects Water Delivery in Timeless European Faucet
May 2009 — Always at the forefront of contemporary European design, GROHE introduces the new Europlus collection. Blending sleek styling with the company's latest design innovation — a seven-degree spout inclination that produces optimum water delivery — Europlus is available in both a standard version and a low-flow option as part of GROHE's WaterCare® line.

Grohe's Europlus Bathroom Collection
"GROHE has long been known for its high-quality, contemporary designs, and Europlus continues that legacy while offering homeowners, designers and specifiers alike a great value and premium water delivery," said Paul Flowers, senior vice president of design for GROHE. "Europlus was created using GROHE's Signature Elements which help to visually interpret our SensualMinimalism design philosophy. In particular with Europlus is the lozenge handle shape which serves to humanize the core values of minimalism with tactile appeal."
Available in GROHE StarLight® Chrome, Europlus' appealing sleek design is the result of streamlined elements, including the faucet's beautifully coordinated lift rod, lever and spout. Additionally, the delicately tapered spout and lever add soft touches to the cylindrical body of the faucet. Included in the new Europlus lines are coordinated tub/shower combinations and pressure balance valve trims.

Grohe's Europlus Shower/Tub Combo
In addition to the standard faucet option, Europlus also is one of the more than 60 faucets available in GROHE's WaterCare line of low-flow faucets, making it ideal for building and design professionals, who can earn up to two LEED credits for each product they use in new construction or renovation projects.
Exclusive Technologies
Even after years of service, Europlus offerings will look, sound and feel brand new — thanks to these GROHE-exclusive technologies:
- SilkMove® — Creating a velvet-soft ease of movement and an extra-wide operating angle, all GROHE cartridges are fitted with ceramic alloy discs that are covered in a special Teflon® lubricant to ensure a lifetime of maintenance-free comfort and reliability — as well as precise and seamless temperature adjustment. GROHE SilkMove cartridges are life-tested to deliver over 200,000 operating cycles (the equivalent of more than 10 years in a four-person household) and still function at factory specs.
- StarLight® — For radiant long-life shine, StarLight offers a dazzling surface finish created through a special chrome-plating and galvanization technique. GROHE products that feature this technology boast an immaculate surface that will not crack, flake or chip — providing superior durability.
- WhisPer® — The computer-engineered geometry within the ceramic discs of GROHE product cartridges combined with heavy cast-brass construction creates a maximum flow level at a minimum noise level. The result is a soothing sound produced by the gentle and continuous stream of water — without any irritating noise or water hammering.
GROHE products are sold through designer showrooms nationwide and select online retailers. Specific showroom locations and retailer Web sites are available on the GROHE Web site. For more information, visit www.groheamerica.com.
