The Legacy® 800 Chain offers simplified limit setting and programming for easy installation and a reliable frequency range for dependable operation. Its ½ HPc Power Plus DC motor operates at variable speeds for soft start and stop, resulting in less wear and tear on the garage door, and is powerful enough to operate heavy garage doors. The Legacy® 800 Chain garage door opener offers homeowners various remote and accessory options and is compatible with Car2U® and HomeLink® in-car universal remote systems.

The Legacy® 800 Chain opener includes state-of-the art safety features such as the Safe-T-Beam® system that stops and reverses the closing door if an object passes through the infrared beam. The system's self-diagnostic functions alert homeowners of improper operations, pinpoint specific problems and identifies solutions. The Legacy® 800 Chain openers also include a two 60-watt bulb system, creating brighter lighting in the homeowner's garage. The opener's CodeDodger® Access Security System activates a new access code from 4.3 billion combinations each time the remote control is used to prevent piracy of the radio signal that opens the garage door.

The Legacy® 800 Chain will be available through Overhead Door's nationwide network of Ribbon® distributors in October 2009.
