Hansgrohe Enhances Tango C Bath Faucet Series with ADA-Compliant "Classic Lever Handles" for Traditional DecorsNew Lav and Bathtub Faucets Feature Slender Lever Handles and Multiple Finishes, Including the Aged Look of Rubbed Bronze

September, 2009 -- The popular Hansgrohe Tango® C series of bathroom faucets now offers three additional lav and tub models, all of them featuring a new and more refined lever handle design that perfectly complements any traditionally styled décor. Because of their new Classic Lever Handles, the new trio — a widespread lav faucet, a three-hole Roman tub set and a four-hole Roman tub set with a handshower — are fully compliant with the current requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines, as legislated by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.

With its elegant, slender contours, each handle emerges, flower-like, from a bell-shaped escutcheon. The concentric rings of the base and the radiant surfaces of the entire faucet give it the aura of a one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted piece from a bygone era. With a shape reminiscent of an old-style hand pump, the handles are set at a height sufficient to assure the user's comfort.

The concentric rings of the escutcheons are echoed on the statuesque, high-arc spout, creating a delicate, yet majestic presence on the sink or bathtub.

Four finishes: Featuring solid brass construction and 90° ceramic cartridges, all three of the new Tango C faucets include the Quiclean® cleaning system, which allows mineral deposits to be removed from the aerator in the spout with just a flick of the finger. In addition, all three are available in four finishes: chrome, brushed nickel, oil rub bronze, and Hansgrohe's new rubbed bronze finish.

    • The rubbed bronze look, introduced earlier this year by Hansgrohe, is a special lacquer finish that is darker than oil rub bronze. The hand-brushing used to apply the finish reveals subtle bronze and copper tones, thus creating the impression of a more aged piece — an excellent complement to the traditional styling of Tango C.
    • The brushed nickel and oil rub bronze finishes are created through a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) process that bonds the finish to the fitting at the molecular level, creating a thin but highly impervious layer of long-lasting protection.

The Widespread Lav Faucet features Hansgrohe's patented EcoRight® technology with a water-conserving flow rate of 1.5 gallons per minute (GPM) — a savings of almost a full gallon per minute, or 30%, over the 2.2 GPM rate of a conventional bathroom faucet.

The handshower provided on the Four-Hole Roman Tub Set is a Croma C 100 model that includes an 80-inch metal hose and incorporates three distinct spray modes: Full, a pulsating Massage, and an intense Turbo spray mode. The flow rate for both Roman tub sets is up to 10 GPM at a pressure of 44 psi (pounds per square inch).
