November, 2009 – Overhead Door Corporation's Genie® brand today announced the introduction of its newest Genie® Professional Line product, the ReliaG™ 800 garage door opener with either belt or chain drive options. The new ReliaG™ 800 is designed to provide quiet and smooth power in the garage door opener category.

The ReliaG™ 800 garage door opener operates with a DC motor that allows soft start and stop, which provides a smoother operation and results in less wear and tear on the door, extending its life. The opener also features a two 60-watt bulb light system which creates bright illumination for the garage. Installation and programming are quick and easy with simplified electronic limit setting.

The ReliaG™ 800 also features the Intellicode® access security system, which selects a new access code from 4.3 billion combinations each time the remote control is activated, preventing piracy of the radio signal that opens the garage door. While it is promotes safety, it does not sacrifice convenience: the system is flexible for any size family as it will accept up to seven remotes per garage door. The opener functions on reliable radio

frequency range to ensure consistent operations. The ReliaG™ 800 also features a self-diagnostic Safe-T-Beam® system that automatically stops the door from closing, and then reverses it, when an object passes through the infrared beam. The system's self-diagnostic functions alert homeowners of improper operations, assist in pinpointing specific problems.

The ReliaG™ 800 will be available in November, 2009 through Genie® dealers nationwide.

*1/2 horsepower comparable (HPc) power plus designates that this garage door opener exceeds Genie®'s lifting force specification for 1/2 horsepower garage door openers.
