Andersen Introduces Mix-and-Match Hardware Options for Patio DoorsNew Andersen Mix-and-Match Patio Door Hardware

BAYPORT, Minn.(Jan. 11, 2006) Andersen Windows, Inc. gives building professionals and homeowners more patio door hardware choices with the introduction of mix-and-match hardware packages. The new hardware option gives customers hundreds of different combinations to choose from to achieve the right look inside and out by combining any Andersen patio door hardware styles and finishes.

"Sometimes the right hardware for the interior decor does not quite match the exterior," said Linda Luksan, director of door marketing at Andersen. "Customers now have more choices, and can select from any of the styles and finishes of Andersen patio door hardware to create the ideal look for their home."

Three hardware design collections are available from Andersen and complement various architectural styles, home decors and personal tastes. Each collection features different hardware styles that are available for gliding and hinged doors, and are compatible with existing Andersen lock mechanisms and with most vintage Andersen doors for retrofit applications. Mix-and-match hardware can be ordered through Andersen dealers nationwide.

Metro(TM) Hardware CollectionThe Metro(TM) hardware collection features two contemporary designs: Tribeca(R) and Anvers(R). Tribeca hardware is a cast zinc design with a durable low-maintenance finish in white and stone. Made from solid forged brass, Anvers hardware is available in bright brass, oil rubbed bronze and satin nickel finishes.

Estate(TM) Hardware CollectionThe Estate(TM) hardware collection provides traditional styling and elegance in three designs: Newbury(R), Whitmore(R) and Covington(TM). Newbury hardware is available in six finishes: bright brass, satin nickel, oil rubbed bronze, antique brass, polished chrome and brushed chrome.

Covington(TM) hardware is a traditional Colonial style and is available in bright brass, antique brass and oil rubbed bronze. Whitmore(R) hardware is a more ornate, traditional style available in four finishes: bright brass, antique brass, satin nickel and oil rubbed bronze.

Andiron(TM) Hardware CollectionThe Andiron(TM) hardware collection has a rustic, hand-finished look with two designs: Encino(R) and Yuma(TM). Andiron hardware is available in distressed nickel and distressed bronze finishes. Through the nature of the finishing process, texture and color variations should be expected and add to the character of the hardware. Andiron hardware with the distressed bronze finish features a living finish that will wear with use and develop a patina, further adding to its character, while the distressed nickel finish is lacquered for protection.
