Temple-Inland expands FiberBrace exterior sheathing sizes to include 10' lengths.FiberBrace offers a high performance package of benefits that no other sheathing can match.

DIBOLL, TX -- Temple-Inland has extended its line of FiberBrace exterior sheathing to now include 10' lengths along with its current 8' and 9' lengths.

This extended length allows builders to apply FiberBrace sheathing from the bottom plate to the top of the upper floor joists without cutting or piecing on floors with 9' ceilings. By eliminating the extra piecing, installation time is reduced and the upper floor joists' connection to the lower floor's bottom plate is structurally reinforced.

Temple-Inland has extended its line of FiberBrace exterior sheathing to now include 10' lengths

FiberBrace offers a high performance package of benefits that no other sheathing can match. Its tough, interknit and bonded fibers add code-recognized structural strength to stud walls and provide required wall bracing when fastened correctly. It offers effective noise reduction and an insulation R-value of 1.22 - which is 20-50% higher than OSB or plywood. And FiberBrace offers true moisture permeability, reducing the risk of mold, mildew and rot.

"More and more builders are switching to FiberBrace for our stable, competitive pricing and then finding that it has a lot more performance to offer than OSB, plywood or other sheathings." says Gary Keeling, product manager for FiberBrace. "Subcontractors also like the fast, efficient installation - which, by the way, just got more efficient with our new 10' length."

FiberBrace is now available in 4'x8', 4'x9' and 4'x10' sizes with thicknesses of 1/2" and 25/32". FiberBrace is certified as conforming to the building code-referenced product standard ASTM C208 as recognized by the IRC and the IBC. FiberBrace is also acceptable in Seismic Categories A, B and C, with special use provisions in Categories D, E and F. Check the IBC for specific requirements.
