Temple-Inland introduces TemStock-FR fire-resistant particleboard

DIBOLL, Texas -- Temple-Inland has introduced TemStock™-FR, a fire-rated particleboard for use in products manufactured for industrial and commercial finish out and furnishing.

TemStock-FR combines the cost-effectiveness and versatility of particleboard with the fire-retardant properties required by commercial construction codes. This makes it an innovative option for fabricating cabinets, fixtures, furniture and various types of wall system assemblies typically used in schools, offices, hospitals and other commercial structures where fire safety is a primary concern. TemStock-FR may be specified for a wide range of applications where a Class 1 fire rating is desired.

Temple-Inland has introduced a new and improved Type TG-C formula for its fire-rated gypsum wallboard.

TemStock-FR is an excellent substrate for wood veneers, high- and low-pressure laminates, and vinyl overlays. It offers outstanding dimensional stability to minimize shrinking and expanding while it also may be cut, machined and drilled with virtually the same results as traditional materials.

Available throughout Temple-Inland's distribution network, TemStock-FR is manufactured in thicknesses of 1/4" through 1-1/8" and is available in standard 4-foot sizes.
