Typar Construction Tape Seals Overlap and Seams

Typar® Construction Tape is designed to be used as a closure system on Typar® HouseWrap and other insulation sheathing materials. It was introduced because many codes today require the taping of housewrap seams, and it exceeds all codes requirements as a contractor grade sheathing tape.

Typar Construction Tape is a very strong, gray, polypropylene film used to seal seams and overlaps. It also can be applied to corners, joints, sill plates and other surfaces to improve air tightness. It's easy to apply because it is coated with a cold weather acrylic adhesive system that was specially formulated to perform at sub-freezing temperatures and to have good and quick "stickability."

Typar Construction Tape has been proven to work with Typar HouseWrap, which has been used to increase energy efficiency on fine homes since it was introduced in 1987. Typar HouseWrap has always been easy to install, and Typar Construction Tape simply adds to the builder's peace of mind.
