T-form from Reward Reduces Waste, Labor CostsThe new form, used with iForms to construct interior demising walls, will be available Feb. 1, 2007.

    Omaha, Neb. (December 22, 2006) - The T-form, Reward Wall Systems' newest insulating concrete form (ICF), is designed for use with the company's iForm to make construction of interior demising walls more efficient. The form will enter the market February 1, according to Kevin Jones, vice president of Manufacturing Operations.

    The T-form is intended to reduce material waste and reduce labor costs in the field, according to Jones. The T-form, like the rest of the iForm product line, is universal and reversible. The T-form is 11 inches in overall width providing a 6-inch concrete core for both the intersecting and longitudinal walls. It is designed for both below and above grade use, is appropriate for commercial and residential construction and is an excellent choice for hotel and condominium construction.

    "We heard contractors asking for an efficient way to build interior walls with the same energy-saving, fire-safe and sound-resistive qualities as outside walls without having to do a lot of cutting in the field. The T-form does this saving time and labor costs," said Kelvin Doerr, P.E. vice president of Engineering and Technical Services. "Reward ICFs are being used more and more in the construction of multifamily housing and hotels, where sound reduction is an important construction quality. The T-form will make building interior concrete walls more cost effective," Doerr added.
