The new Enlighten washer features antimicrobial component protection in the rubber seal supplied by Microban™, which is designed to resist mold, mildew and odor-causing bacteria. Built into key washer components during the manufacturing process, the new feature works continuously.
    The Enlighten washer, part of the Amana fabric care collection, is among the first new product introductions for the Amana brand under the expanded Whirlpool Corporation portfolio and was made available to consumers in January 2007.     In addition to antimicrobial component protection, the Enlighten washer is packed with common-sense features that can make a big difference in saving time and money. The washer features TempAssure™ Controlled Heating, an internal water heater that maintains an ideal temperature throughout the wash cycle, which provides more consistent results. The rust and scratch-resistant stainless steel wash tub is tilted at 15 degrees so clothes can tumble easily without snagging and for easier loading and unloading. And the Enlighten washer is Energy Star® qualified, meeting federal energy standards for front load washers.
