Beam Brings Fresh Thinking to Central Vacuum SystemsMore Power, More Quiet, More Style, More Clean

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa - Beam, the global central vacuum system leader, is meeting rising demand by custom builders for quiet, powerful, built-in cleaning performance and improved indoor air quality with the new Serenity® QS™ Power Unit and its companion Beam Q™ electric power brush, hose and cleaning tools.

More Power, More Quiet, More Style, More Clean

The facts about the stunning metallic alloy Beam Serenity QS power unit tell the story about why it is the new standard for central vacuums and a must-have in "move-up" and custom homes:

    • More cleaning power. The Serenity QS is the most powerful single-motor central vacuum system. It produces up to 640 air watts - 10- to 25 percent more cleaning power than competitive systems. That means more dust, dirt and allergens are removed from the home.
    • Quiet operation. The Serenity QS motor operates 3 decibels quieter than competitive systems. A unique mounting and bumper system, patented Quiet Pak™ insulation package and a Sound Off™ muffler reduce motor noise and system vibration.
    • Improved indoor air quality. An anti-microbial dirt collection receptacle -- a central vacuum industry first -- is lined with an agent that prevents the formation and growth of mold, enhancing Beam's clinically proven ability to relieve allergies.
Joining the Serenity QS Power Unit is the Beam Q Power Team™, which includes the central vacuum system's hose, electric power brush and attachments.

The Electric power brush motor is driven by a unique Poly V belt that assures years of reliable, quiet cleaning of hard-surface and carpeted floors of varying thickness. The Beam Q's electric power brush includes a manual height adjustment lever. Its rubberized titanium and silver-sport colored wheels protect finishes on wood, cork, bamboo, vinyl and other hard floor surfaces. The Beam Q's LED headlight offers improved visibility and its lightweight D-shaped hose handle and wands assure the user will experience greater comfort during cleaning.

An optional Premier Tool ensemble also is available for the Beam Q. The stylish tool set includes a crevice tool, three brushes of varying bristle length and coarseness and a bare floor brush that features a full swivel handle. Their ergonomic design assures user comfort during cleaning. Each includes an LED light that illuminates the area being cleaned.

Larry Hartley, vice president of marketing for Beam, says the integrated system will speed the inclusion of central vacuums as standard features in new homes. A recent National Association of Homebuilders study found that nearly one-third of new luxury homes and 15 percent of "move-up" homes were equipped with central vacuum systems or were primed for them. "This integrated system delivers superior, quiet, powerful cleaning and a healthier living environment that fresh-thinking builders want and buyers expect in a new home," says Hartley.
