Home Slicker extends the service life of sidewall components by creating the necessary air space in a rainscreen wall assembly that drains wind-driven rain from behind the cladding, and ventilates to remove moisture. Wind-driven rain from the outside, moisture vapor from the home's interior, and corrosive materials that leak from certain types of cladding can remain trapped behind cladding, which can degrade the performance of the wall assembly, as well as lead to mold and mildew build up.

Home Slicker reduces moisture problems by creating a pressure-equalized air space immediately behind exterior cladding in addition to employing a water resistive barrier. Its patented, three-dimensional matrix not only manages water entry by allowing it to enter and exit, but also drains away bulk water that does seep in behind cladding. At the same time, Home Slicker speeds drying of moisture that accumulates in the interior wall assembly by moving air in a convective fashion throughout the cavity. Home Slicker installs quickly and easily, and is less labor intensive than the traditional method of using wood furring strips to create a continuous air space. It is ideal for use with wood, fiber-cement, and EIFS systems, as well as brick and vinyl cladding systems.

Benjamin Obdyke offers four Home Slicker product options: Home Slicker®, Home Slicker® Plus Typar®, Home Slicker® 10, and Home Slicker® 10 Plus Typar®.

Home Slicker is 39.37 in. wide, 46.5 ft. long, and .25 in. thick, with a coverage area of 150 sq. ft. It weighs 7.2 lbs. per roll, with a matrix design of 2 channels per inch.

Both Home Slicker Plus Typar and Home Slicker 10 Plus Typar contain a three-dimensional matrix bonded to Typar, the premium residential and commercial grade housewrap, permitting workers to install double the sidewall protection in half the time. For Home Slicker Plus Typar and Home Slicker 10 Plus Typar, width measurements are 39.37 in. (Home Slicker), 45 in. (Water Resistive Barrier), and 4 in. minimum (flap). Home Slicker Plus Typar is 61.5 ft long, .26 in. thick, and provides a coverage area of 200 sq. ft. It weighs 15 lbs. per roll, with a matrix design of 2 channels per inch. Home Slicker 10 Plus Typar is 38.5 ft./11.73m long and .44.11mm thick, and provides a coverage area of 125 sq. ft./11.6m2.

Home Slicker® 10 is designed to meet the 10mm rainscreen code requirements in Canada. Home Slicker 10 is 39.37 in. /1m wide, 38.5 ft./11.73m long and .44 in. /11mm thick, with a coverage area of 125 sq. ft./11.6m2. It weighs 7.3 lbs. per roll, with a matrix design of 1.5 channels per inch.

All four products feature a UV exposure of 30 days (maximum) and come with Benjamin Obdyke's 50-Year Limited Warranty.
