DeWALT Introduces Quick Change Hole Saw MandrelsSaves time and money on jobsite New Mandrels Available in Compact Hole Saw Kits

April 2007 - DeWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools and accessories, announced its new line of quick change hole saw mandrels that adapt 9/16" - 1-3/16" hole saws (DW1810) and 1-1/4" - 6" hole saws with either a 3/8" shank (DW1805) or a 7/16" shank (DW1803). The new line of mandrels is ideal for all professional contractors using hole saws, such as plumbers, electricians and general contractors.

New Mandrels Available in Compact Hole Saw Kits

The innovative quick change mandrels are compatible with all brands of hole saws. Each mandrel provides professional contractors with tool-free hole saw changing capabilities that allow users to easily attach and release hole saws during various jobsite applications, saving time and money.

The DW1810 is the only quick change mandrel available on the market for small hole saws (9/16" - 1-3/16"). The mandrel features a quick release collar that allows users to effortlessly snap hole saws on and off the mandrels without using wrenches or other tools and is built with fully hardened steel parts for exceptional durability.

The DW1803 and DW1805 are designed with single step engagement capabilities, enabling users to quickly attach large hole saws (1-1/4" - 6") without having to align the drive pins. Users simply pull down the spring-loaded collar, thread the hole saw, and release the collar.

The new quick change mandrels are also available in a compact eight-piece plumber's hole saw kit (D180001), an eight-piece electrician's hole saw kit (D180002) and a 14 piece master hole saw kit (D180005). DeWALT designed the kits with a condensed footprint and a carrying handle for increased portability and packaged the kit in a DeWALT built tough kit for additional jobsite durability.
