HomeCrest Adds the Right Finishing Touches to Wood Cabinetry and Drawer Hardware
HomeCrest Cabinetry, a premier manufacturer of home cabinetry is launching two fresh nature-inspired wood cabinetry finishes and an innovative drawer closing system to meet consumer demand for rich custom color palettes and luxury functionality. Chestnut in Oak and Autumn in Cherry are two of four beautiful finishes HomeCrest is introducing this year, reflecting a retro-trend to earth-tones and rustic looks that gained a fashion foothold in the past. Creating yet another spectacular benefit, HomeCrest is rolling out its SofTouch™ Drawer Guide, a full-extension, soft-closing hardware system that propels drawer function to new levels of convenience.

HomeCrest's new wood cabinetry finishes, Chestnut in Oak and Autumn in Cherry, add warmth, enhance textures, and accent beauty to create a home with abundant richness and charm. With an Arts & Crafts feel, Chestnut in Oak is applied by brush to perfectly accentuate wood's natural grain with a deep, earthy-brown tone resembling the robust trunk of an oak tree. Chestnut offers the classic American gunstock look with timeless appeal.
Evoking a windswept, sun-dappled autumn day, HomeCrest Autumn in Cherry finish brings a harvest of outdoor colors to cabinetry in every room of the home, regardless of the season. It subtly tones down cherry wood's natural pink and white variations to create a rustic, aged appearance that elegantly preserves this wood's light, delicate grain. For an even more unique, custom look, Autumn in Cherry is available with a warm Mist or Cocoa or Linen glaze.
"Fashion trends turn faster today than ever before, so keeping up with constant design change and evolving consumer preferences is a priority for home products, especially cabinetry -- a major investment for homeowners. They want top quality and a full spectrum of custom choices to express their individuality," said Laurie Galbraith, Design and Training Manager, HomeCrest Cabinetry. "While almost anything goes today, most people still prefer natural, elegant beauty when it comes to cabinetry. Our finishes reflect that, while putting a unique spin on traditional favorites."
HomeCrest SofTouch™ Drawer Guide adds a touch of luxury to deluxe drawer products with its easy-open, full-extension feature and spring-loaded, cushion-soft closing action. Available as an upgrade to 3/4-inch HomeCrest Deluxe wood drawers, SofTouch™ uses a concealed mechanism with permanently-lubricated synthetic rollers that are maintenance-free and ensure smooth, quiet closing action, regardless of drawer contents. Just a gentle fingertip touch closes the drawer effortlessly.
"It's the hottest thing today in drawer hardware. SofTouch™ lets you completely remove a drawer from its housing for instant access to everything, even items stored way in back. It makes organization a snap," said Ms. Galbraith. "When you return the drawer, its self-closing guide pulls the drawer back in and seals it neatly shut. It's so convenient, and it enhances a room's look because drawers aren't left open accidentally."
HomeCrest's new finishes and SofTouch™ Drawer Guide can be used with the array of styles from HomeCrest. SofTouch ™ supports 15-inch and 18-inch tracks. HomeCrest offers the SofTouch™ Drawer Guide conversion kit, which lets dealers swap out hardware in any HomeCrest deluxe drawer so customers can experience SofTouch™ in the showroom.
