ORANGE, Calif. (January 23, 2007) - Lennox Hearth Products (LHP) is introducing its newest addition to the Merit. line, the Merit B-vent gas fireplace. The new Merit Bvent offers builders a cost-effective gas fireplace with the great look of an open-front, wood-burning fireplace. Available in 36 inch and 42 inch sizes, the Merit B-vent gas-burning fireplaces boast an appealing fire presentation with no exposed louvers, resulting in the clean-face, openfront look that is currently a hot trend in the industry.

The new Merit B-vent gives builders the total package.

"Normally, a builder might install a wood-burning firebox for cost efficiency and install gas logs within that box for convenience, or to meet environmental regulations," states Scott Andrunas, director of marketing for Lennox Hearth Products. The Merit B-vent comes standard with a brick-patterned liner. Optional exterior accessories, such as bi-fold doors, twin-pane doors and fixed glass panels are also available to create a variety of stylish looks. In any configuration, the open-front design makes the Merit B-vent a worthy alternative in areas were environmental regulations prohibit wood-burning fireplaces. The Merit B-vent gas fireplace will be available for purchase in March 2007.
