ORANGE, Calif. (January 24, 2007) - Lennox Hearth Products (LHP) introduces the Merit. Plus louverless direct-vent gas fireplaces. These latest fireplace additions make louverless options available to a broader market, specifically builders.

The new line of gas units gives both custom and standard builders affordable louverless choices without compromising installation options or aesthetics. Builders get the look and feel of a traditional masonry fireplace in an affordable package.

Unique to this new fireplace line is a 30 inch size, which allows for increased installation and spacing flexibility. The line also comes in the standard 3 inch, 40 inch and 45 inch sizes. These highly efficient, heater-rated units produce dramatic fire and glow at very low BTUs, saving energy costs without sacrificing flame quality.

Merit Plus louverless direct-vent fireplaces boast large, expansive openings for individuals to watch radiant flames on a detailed, realistic log set. Additional accessories that enhance the design capability of the units include a pull-screen front panel kit, paned arch or square louverless StyleView. door panels, and fixed-screen panel options.

The Merit Plus louverless direct-vent gas fireplace line will be available for purchase in May 2007.
