    With the summer driving season fast approaching, it's no surprise that gas prices are so close to $3 a gallon. What might surprise you is what automobile manufacturers are pitching: gas-guzzling performance cars. At the recent New York International Auto Show, only GM showcased anything fuel-efficient. Nissan, Toyota, DaimlerChrysler, Subaru and Ford introduced SUVs and performance cars. If those types of vehicles interest you, take a peek at what's in store.
