Versa Lift and Versa Rail Provide Safe, Easy Access To Attic/Basement Storage For Homeowners

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; April, 2007 - Byers Products Group has introduced their new Versa Lift and Versa Rail products to the Home Building, Remodeling and Garage Door and Services industry. Versa Lift is a new storage and package lift capable of lifting up to 200 pounds from one floor to another or up into the attic, every 15 seconds. Versa Lift offers homeowners an excellent way to easily access all that storage space up in the attic or down in the basement without the dread of carrying boxes or storage tubs up or down dangerous stairs. Byers' all new Versa Rail safety railing is an ideal companion product to the Versa Lift because it mounts to the attic floor at the top of the folding attic stairs and provides a safe handrail for stepping up into and back down out of the attic when using the stairs. The Versa Rail also protects against accidentally falling through the attic stairs opening, which can be the greatest hazard when moving around in the attic.

A plethora of new applications were discovered while talking with attendees at the International Builders Show in Orlando, Florida held February, 2007 and the International Door Dealers Expo held in April, 2007. Our exhibits drew huge crowds, many interesting questions and a wide range of application revelations. Some of the most interesting new applications we are implementing are:

    1. Versa Lift models specially designed to lift higher distances to accommodate the coastal homes situated close to the ocean down the east coast, around Florida and all along the Gulf coastal states. These homes are often built up on pylons to allow hurricanes to blow through the bottom floor (usually used as a garage) and not destroy the home above. The Versa Lift is an excellent addition to each of these homes because everything, including groceries and every day items, have to be manually carried up a flight of stairs to the first floor living area. With Versa Lift those everyday items can be lifted to the first floor with just a push of a button.

    2. We were approached by three companies who have interest in incorporating Versa Lift into the design of the wine cellars they build into the lower levels of fine homes. The Versa Lift would then be carefully loaded up with choice wines for an evenings entertainment, by the host or hostess and raised effortlessly to the kitchen pantry or up under the serving bar in the den or living area and served to guests.

    3. Commercial builders and commercial overhead door dealers pointed out the applications for Versa Lift in the business world for moving business files up to storage areas over office space and on mezzanine levels. All those boxed prior-year business files that must be saved and stored for several years have to have a home and in most warehouse, distribution, service and manufacturing types of businesses they end up out in the warehouse up above the office space or stored up on a mezzanine storage rack. The Versa Lift will move all those boxes up or down with ease and help prevent back injuries of many employees who normally have to move them.

    4. Builders and architects discussed incorporating Versa Lift into a closet in a lower floor and a connecting closet in an upper floor. This design would conceal the Versa Lift until the doors of the closet were opened and loads of laundry or other household goods were loaded onto the Versa Lift for transport to the other floor.

We were asked about basements versus attics and we answered "certainly". The Versa Lift will lift storage items up from the basement just as well as it brings them up or down out of the attic in homes.
