February 7, 2007 -- ROCKY MOUNT, Va. - The MW Freedom® Series of clad wood windows and patio doors from MW Windows & Doors, Rocky Mount, Va., is engineered to provide both beauty and performance for custom builders and remodelers alike. MW's premium line of clad wood windows and patio doors is constructed with a tough PVC exterior cladding, fully welded and sealed at the corners, providing both weather protection and a clean, traditional narrow-line look, according to Mark Montgomery, senior vice president, sales and marketing.

The MW Freedom Series Double Hung

The MW Freedom Series offers double hung and casement/awning as well as patio doors and is complemented by a variety of accent windows and architectural shapes, which allows architects and designers to provide their customers with exceptional value and quality, according to Montgomery. "A very popular choice among our customers, the MW Freedom Series provides the look and quality of upper-end models without the high price," says Montgomery.

    Freedom 800
The Freedom 800 series features an interior glazed sash for optimum weather protection and curb appeal, in addition to rigid form-fitting PVC cladding that is fully welded at the top corners, providing a clean appearance, traditional, narrow-line look and further protection from the weather. The Freedom 800 series also comes standard with energy-efficient Warm Edge Insulated Glass and convenient easy-tilt sash for simple tilt-in cleaning of exterior glass. Exterior features include cladding offered in White, Sandalwood and Taupe, an integral face accessory groove and a pre-punched nailing flange for easy installation and accessory application.

A standard clear wood interior ready for painting or staining provides homeowners flexibility to coordinate their windows and patio doors with any interior décor. The Freedom 800 series is available in double hung, casement/awning, picture and patio door styles, with combinations such as singles, twins, triples, quads, bows and a wide selection of special shapes to solve any design challenge. Additional options include: simulated-divided-lite (SDL) with shadow bar; grille-between-the-glass (GBG) in flat, and sculptured styles; removable wood grilles; color-matched extension jambs; and a full-length fiberglass screen with a rigid aluminum frame.

    Freedom 600
The weather-resistant Freedom 600 series features a fully welded, all-vinyl sash, creating a larger daylight viewing area, and a wood frame treated with water-repellant preservative and covered with rigid, form-fitting PVC cladding, eliminating the need for on-site painting. With a prefinished white interior, the 600 series also features energy-efficient Warm Edge Insulated Glass, a robust interlock design satisfying forced entry requirements and a nailing fin with overlapping corners, making installation easy.

The Freedom 600 series is available in double hung, casement/awning and picture styles, with optional add-ons including SDL and an easy-tilt sash. Grille options include GBG in flat and sculptured styles.

    Patio Doors
The MW Freedom Series of patio doors is available in sliding, hinged, French sliding and French hinged styles. The patio doors have a combination of vinyl cladding and pultruded fiberglass exterior components providing maintenance-free benefits, while the natural wood interior comes ready for paint or stain. Three-quarter inch tempered insulated glass and a multi-point locking system also are standard with all MW Freedom Series patio doors. Many popular hardware finishes, including bright brass, antique brass, oil rubbed bronze and satin nickel, are available to blend seamlessly with existing décor. Grille options for MW Freedom Series patio doors include SDL and GBG in flat and sculptured styles.

Energy-saving glazing options for all MW Freedom Series offerings include: Low-E, Tinted, Low-E/Argon, Low-E/Tinted, Tempered and Obscure. All MW Freedom Series windows and doors feature a 20-year glass warranty, and can be configured to meet ENERGY STAR® program requirements for all climate zones.
