ODL Enclosed ShadeOffers Better Control Over Privacy

February 7, 2007 - Zeeland, Mich. - Maintaining privacy in the home is now easier than ever with the new Enclosed Shade from ODL, Inc., Zeeland, Mich. The first of its kind in the industry, the raise/lower enclosed shade stacks at the bottom of the door glass unit, providing the consumer with better control over light privacy, according to James Toland, product manager. "The ODL Enclosed Shade features a cellular shade sealed between tempered safety glass and easily raises and lowers by simply adjusting the control bar on the frame. The shade has all the unique features and benefits of our standard enclosed blinds: no dusting; easy to install; no exposed cords; increased energy efficiency and no swinging blinds," says Toland. The Enclosed Shade is an add-on product and can be attached to the doorglass frame in a matter of minutes. According to Toland, any homeowner can handle this DIY-friendly project.

    Better Control Over Privacy

Available with a white shade and frame, the frame can be painted or stained to match existing home décor. Two styles are available to fit doors with a raised frame (steel or fiberglass entry doors) or doors with a flush frame (swinging patio doors). The raised frame style is available in 22 inches by 64 inches and 20 inches by 64 inches to fit full-view doors and 22 inches by 36 inches and 20 inches by 36 inches to fit half-view doors. Additionally, the raised frame style offers two sizes to fit sidelights: seven inches by 64 inches (full-view) and eight inches by 36 inches (half-view). The flush frame style comes in two sizes: 25 inches by 66 inches and 27 inches by 66 inches. The shades feature a 5-year warranty.

"The ODL Enclosed Shade provides homeowners with a low-maintenance option to increase privacy and security within their home," says Toland. "The shade also provides peace of mind to homeowners since it does not feature exposed cords or swinging slats which easily could harm children and pets."
