GreenGuard PLYGOOD-Ultra Sheathing Provides Superior Thermal and Moisture Performance

    ATLANTA- GreenGuard® PLYGOOD®-Ultra rigid foam board sheathing from Pactiv Corporation (NYSE: PTV) Building Products Division offers increased thermal and moisture performance compared to OSB when used in non-structural wall applications.

    GreenGuard® PLYGOOD®-Ultra sheathing provides insulation R-value of 2.0 in 7/16" thickness and a 1.5 R-value in 3/8" thickness, both of which are substantially higher than wood-based sheathing of the same dimensions. When used in conjunction with 7/16" OSB corner bracing, GreenGuard® PLYGOOD®-Ultra 7/16" sheathing matches the standard OSB thickness for an even wall surface on which to install siding.

    Featuring an extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam core and reinforcing woven facer, GreenGuard® PLYGOOD®-Ultra sheathing's moisture absorption is less than one half of a percent, which means the product won't swell or warp and can be stored safely outside on the job site.

    Each 4'x 8' sheet of GreenGuard® PLYGOOD®-Ultra sheathing weighs just four pounds, cuts easily with a utility knife and may be installed using a pneumatic staple gun. GreenGuard® PLYGOOD®-Ultra sheathing is also engineered to withstand wind gusts up to 110 mph.

    Like other GreenGuard® insulation, fanfold and housewrap products, GreenGuard® PLYGOOD®-Ultra sheathing can be custom-printed, providing on-the-site publicity for builders, developers and distributors.

    Available in 4' x 8' and 4' x 9' sheets in 7/16" and 3/8" thickness, GreenGuard® PLYGOOD®-Ultra is a member of Pactiv's GreenGuard® family of XPS insulation products for both residential and commercial applications.
