Powerful Saniflo Macerating Toilet System Handles the Most Demanding Applications
ORLANDO, FLORIDA (FEBRUARY 7, 2007) - The new SANIBEST MACERATING TOILET SYSTEM is the only point-of-use grinder pump for bathroom applications currently on the market. Recommended for larger homes, rental units or any other situation where flushing sanitary articles might be a concern, the SANIBEST can efficiently discharge waste water not only from a water closet, but also from a hand basin, bath tub, bidet, even a clothes washer (indirectly through a laundry tub).

Certified by CSA International
Certified by CSA International for use in both the United States and Canada, the new SANIBEST represents a step up in flushing power from Saniflo's popular SANIPLUS model, which will meet the needs of a typical residential application involving a toilet, hand basin, bathtub and shower. The key difference between the two units can be found in their macerating devices.
• The SANIPLUS macerator uses a fast-rotating cutting blade, similar to a garbage disposal, to shred waste and toilet paper in the flush water before removing it through a 3/4-inch discharge line to a soil stack or septic tank.
• The SANIBEST is a grinder device with a cutting blade made of hardened steel that can handle larger sanitary articles as well as waste and toilet tissue. The blade rotates against a stationary, perforated base plate, so that waste is quickly and easily dispersed through the base plate's holes and into a 3/4-inch or one-inch discharge line. While minimizing the risk of blockages in the unit and in the discharge line, the macerating action remains relatively quiet, with a noise level comparable to that of a conventional toilet re-filling.
Extra pumping power: The more powerful SANIBEST system also pumps higher and farther: up to 18 feet vertically when it is installed below the sewer line; or nearly 150 feet horizontally to the sewer stack - or a lesser combination of these two distances. (The SANIPLUS pumps 12 and 150 feet, respectively.) This extra pumping power provides home and building owners with greater flexibility in locating a new bathroom in relation to the soil stack or the septic tank.
Although the most powerful unit in the Saniflo lineup, the SANIBEST macerating toilet system is still low-consumption, using an elongated bowl that flushes the standard 1.6 gallons (six liters) per flush.
Installs anywhere: Like the other macerating products in the Saniflo line, the SANIBEST allows the construction of bathrooms where it is impossible or cost-prohibitive to install conventional plumbing fixtures that require below-floor drainage.
With SANIBEST, a new bathroom can be created wherever it is most convenient for the home or building owner: in a basement, attic or garage; underneath stairs or inside a newly remodeled space. Gone is the need for costly excavation of the existing floor or the creation of a raised floor to install a drain line, as required by systems using a sump or sewage ejector.
"Saniflo macerating products, including the new SANIBEST, can be set atop any finished floor," says Saniflo U.S. national sales manager Bob Lechner. "Walls and floors remain intact, and installation is accomplished quickly and economically with minimal disturbance to room layout. A complete bathroom can be operational in as little time as a half-day."
