VitrA Launches the New Evergreen 1.2 GPF Gravity Flush High Efficiency Toilet

ATLANTA (February 2007) - Building upon its pioneering line of water conserving toilets, VitrA unveils the new 1.2 gpf Gravity Flush HET (high efficiency toilet) saving 25 percent more water annually possible by using only 1.2 gallons of water per flush compared to the industry standard 1.6 gpf gravity flush toilets. The innovative toilet is a part of VitrA's new EverGreen line and will be on display at booth number W5888 at the International Builders' Show in Orlando, Fla.

"Our 1.2 gpf Gravity Flush HET performs as a traditional 1.6 gpf toilet without using so much of the earth's natural resources, like water," comments Akgun Seckiner, manager of plumbing products for VitrA USA, a leading global brand of contemporary bathroom products.

EPA has already started to drive the water conservation movement by lowering the flush volume from 1.6 gpf to 1.28 gpf or less with a voluntary Water Sense Program launched late January. A lower flush volume will help alleviate the strain put upon clean water sources. Many areas of America are using clean water faster than the soiled water can be processed and remediated back into the environment.
