Poggenpohl Introduces 3 Teak Finishes and Offers +Motion Drive Technology in Cabinetry
(Fairfield, NJ, May 2007) - Kitchen cabinet fronts are an expression of one's personal style. One of the mainstays of Poggenpohl's philosophy is to provide its design-savvy customers with a wide choice of more than 60 cabinet fronts. Poggenpohl has now extended its teak collection and revised its high gloss lacquers to include a total of five new cabinet front finishes and styles.

Poggenpohl
Poggenpohl's teak melamine cabinet door finish is perfect for modern kitchens or baths. Along with the original teak decor, two new teak grey tone colors will be added to the collection: teak décor quartz and teak décor lava. The coarse texture of the teak décor makes it unique. The teak melamine finish is water-resistant, making it a good choice for consumers who prefer a "wood style." While teak trees are a tropical endangered wood, the Poggenpohl wood décor version is an environmentally-friendly wood alternative. This teak door style is available with or without the Poggenpohl aluminum edges. Teak is one of the most reasonably priced cabinet door styles that Poggenpohl offers.
In addition, Poggenpohl upgraded its number one selling cabinet finish: high gloss white lacquer, along with a black version and a new high gloss lacquer color: beige. The doors now have a tighter corner radius, providing a more modern sharper edge.
In order to achieve a sleek look in contemporary kitchen design, Poggenpohl is implementing the latest technology for handleless design called +Motion Drive. The electronic mechanism is activated when it's pushed in the center of the drawer. The sytem is mechanically powered keeping the tension release consistent unlike other spring loaded versions that weaken over time. Each drawer is equipped with its own motor and also has the same +Motion self-closing drawer technology featured in all Poggenpohl cabinetry. +Motion drive will be available in the U.S. in July.
