Wind Crest Electric Cooktops Feature European Styling, Easy to Clean Surface and Versatile Cooking Zones

LAS VEGAS (May 8, 2007) - The popularity of gas and induction cooking continues to rise, but 58 percent of American homes still cook with traditional coil or smooth-electric cooktops. Fans of electric smooth tops appreciate this design because there are no raised elements or messy drip pans to remove, making it easy to clean and maintain. Wind Crest™, a leading manufacturer of cooktops and ventilation systems, offers a revolutionary design in its electric smooth top by combining commercial performance with the beauty and convenience of ceramic glass. Multiple element sizes and shapes, with outputs ranging from 30 to 4400 watts, allow users to simmer and sear with up to seven pans -- at the same time.

    48 inch Electric Cooktop

Available in both a 36- and 48-inch width, the Wind Crest electric smooth top features a subtle textured ceramic glass designed to resist scratches from repeatedly moving pans across the surface during everyday use. The textured finish is also easier to clean because it helps minimize the appearance of fingerprints and dust. The glass surface is encased in a rugged 1/8" thick stainless steel frame that wraps around the front edge of the countertop, for an elegantly styled commercial appearance - typically found only in gas rangetops.

In addition to its impressive output of up to 4400 watts, Wind Crest's electric cooktops include a range of surface sizes, from 5- to 9-inch round elements, for use with a variety of pan sizes, and an adjustable simmer/warming element. Ideal for use with elongated cookware such as a pancake griddle or fish poacher, the cooktops also feature a bridge element to create a continuous oblong heated surface.

Models are available without a backsplash for flush installations in an island or peninsula, or with a continuous stainless steel backsplash for a more contemporary look against a wall. All electric cooktops feature Wind Crest's unique slide-in application with front-mounted push-to-turn control knobs - designed to provide full use of the cooking surface at all times. Versatility in function, flexible installation and a unique design are all part of the Wind Crest tradition.
