TEMPLE, Texas (Summer 2007) - The power of natural forces and the raw beauty they produce are manifested in our world's greatest canyons, mountain ranges and deserts. Whether it's North America's Grand Canyon, Switzerland's Alps or Asia's Gobi Desert, the Earth's natural forces have been at work for thousands of years sculpting layers of rock into works of natural art.

Canyon Passage

Wilsonart® Home Collection introduces a new Wilsonart® HD™ High Definition™ Laminate design series that reflects this movement. The Passage Series scales a range of natural colors from soft sand to mid-clay, sienna browns, deep greens and dark plum. The series features an aged stone look inspired from naturally exposed layers of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rock found throughout the world.

Passage is one of three new design series being added to the Wilsonart HD High Definition lineup for 2007. All Wilsonart HD designs feature a highly dimensional optical effect that is pleasing to both the eye and to the fingertip.

Thanks to 21st century proprietary manufacturing techniques, all Wilsonart HD High Definition Laminate products are three times more wear resistant than the industry standard for high pressure laminate.

Passage features these designs:
* Desert Passage - Soft sand tones that complements all wood types with its light appearance
* Canyon Passage - Mid-clay tones inspired from weathered canyon walls
* Mountain Passage - Mountain shadows in deep Sienna-Brown color blends which echo dark wood tones
* Alpine Passage - Deep green tones with aged bronze coloring that reflects colorations found in stone with a Mediterranean influence
* Night Passage - Features colors of the night: plum and blue-grey that overlaps into brown

"There's a natural antiquity that we feel when we're beside millenniums-old rock layers," says Ron Gagnon, vice president of design and marketing at Wilsonart. "Our eyes, minds and fingers often feast on the story behind the creation of these layers."

According to Gagnon, the new Passage collection is designed to complement oiled bronze and stone gray finishes recently introduced by many commercial grade appliance manufacturers. Likewise, the series integrates well with the colored glazes with overtones of moss, mocha, and taupe recently introduced by custom cabinet manufacturers.
