New Canac Telluride Cabinetry Creates Country CharmSustainable knotty alder wood cabinets with Nearly Naked finish provide eco-friendly storage solutions in the home
KOHLER, Wis. - May 8, 2007 - Drawing inspiration from the quiet mountain Village of Telluride, Colorado, the new cabinetry door style of the same name by Canac - a leading manufacturer of fine semi-custom, full-access cabinetry since 1967 - debuts at the 2007 Kitchen/Bath Industry Show in Las Vegas, infusing elements of nature in both aesthetic and material.

Sustainable knotty alder wood cabinets with Nearly Naked finish.
The cabinet's door features an eye-catching, raised panel design - exclusive to Telluride - and the option of either an arched or square top. Oversized frame rails and stiles, relieved butt joints, and beveled edges add to the rustic, handcrafted look of the charming Telluride cabinet door.
Composed of knotty alder, an abundant wood species in portions of the western United States, Telluride cabinetry offers the home elements of a western landscape.
The hardwood has an intrinsic, light cherry hue that is resistant to fading, while fluctuations in knot size, shape and color add to the distinctiveness of each cabinet. "The combination of raised panels and knotty alder wood creates a visually rugged terrain that is smooth to the touch," says Mark Johansen, marketing manager for Canac. "Plus, by utilizing sustainable materials in our cabinetry, we are providing durable and stylish storage solutions for environmentally conscious homeowners."
