Conestoga to Offer Entire Enkeboll Line of Architectural Wood Carvings Finished to Order, in Milestone Partnership
April 30, 2007 - A landmark partnership was announced by Enkeboll Designs, the industry's premier manufacturer of fine architectural woodcarvings and Conestoga Wood Specialties, the leading supplier of wood doors and components for custom cabinetmakers. Conestoga will now offer Enkeboll's entire product line of architectural wood carvings, finished or unfinished. "A cabinet manufacturer can now order Conestoga's doors together with Enkeboll product, from corbels to mantels, all under the same purchase order, all finished to order." says Glen Streeter, Sales Director at Enkeboll Designs. "Customers have the convenience of a single source, with the advantages of Conestoga's fast turnaround and finishing capabilities."

Jeff Eichenseer., Director of Sales and Marketing of Conestoga Wood Specialties, feels that, "With this program, two world-class companies have joined to offer better services to the industry as a whole. Our customers achieve real bottom-line savings by consolidating component sources. Writing one PO and one check for Conestoga and Enkeboll products saves time and money. You get one shipment instead of multiple shipments, which means better organization and quicker production time. Customers can choose from hundreds of Conestoga stains, glazes and finishes, and can be sure that the corbel will match the cabinets. Or, they can order items unfinished. Either way, they have the advantage of Conestoga's fast turnaround on any size order."
The partnership will also help relieve the pressure of tightening environmental regulation on cabinet manufacturers. More stringent finishing restrictions are being passed and enforced, with strict penalties. The less finishing a manufacturer has to do on-the-spot, the less chance there is of exceeding VOC caps. Enkeboll and Conestoga predict that the flexibility to get some or all Enkeboll orders exquisitely finished off-site will help customers manage growing regulatory challenges.
"Enkeboll wood carvings provide a distinctive elegance and warmth that is very much in demand among today's upscale homeowners. Our partnership with Conestoga makes it easier for manufacturers to deliver these customized environments at a higher margin, with quality finishes, on schedule," says Streeter.
Enkeboll Designs recently celebrated its 50th Anniversary. The company carries on the legacy of founder Raymond Enkeboll with a product line of over 600 items that celebrate the beauty of wood and the elegance inspired by what Raymond Enkeboll called the "appreciation of what has come before", from the Renaissance to the Art Nouveau movement. Enkeboll carved architectural wood elements include collections of coordinated pieces such as corbels, moldings, arches, panels, mantles and onlays, marketed exclusively through manufacturers, builders, and designers.
Conestoga Wood Specialties has been in business for 43 years, and is well-known throughout the kitchen and bath industry for consistent high quality.
