Kichler Linear and Cabinet Lighting Advancements Offer Dramatic, Versatile Lighting Effects Introducing new, directional lampholder and innovative, anodized finishes
LAS VEGAS--May 7, 2007--Kichler Lighting continues to respond to customer needs with highperforming lighting products. For the kitchen, Kichler has developed advancements to its Linear and Cabinet task lighting lines, allowing homeowners to create even more dramatic effects when lighting with purpose.

MRC-11 Linear Lighting Lampholder
In an effort to provide better architectural highlighting and increased spotlighting control, Kichler has introduced the new MRC-11 directional lampholder as part of its Linear Lighting system of streamlined accent fixtures. With a unique 360-degree rotation and a 140-degree tilt option, the new component snaps into Kichler's slim linear lighting track in just seconds for placement above cabinets, and effectively throws light across long walls or high ceilings. The MRC-11 lampholder is available in black or white to complement existing light fixtures and decor.
In addition to above cabinet placement, Kichler's slim, moveable Linear Lighting system can be used in many places of the home, including under cabinets for task lighting, inside cabinets to highlight display items, behind crown molding, toe plates and more. The low-voltage, completely modular accent lighting system features perforations on its track every six inches and captive screws for easy installation. Utilizing low-profile, festoon light bulbs, which feature Xenon technology, Kichler's Linear Lighting system runs at a cooler, safer temperature and can last for more than 10,000 hours. Homeowners and contractors will find the sockets easy to snap in and out - no power tools necessary.
Anodized Finishes for Kichler Cabinet Lighting
An industry first, Kichler Lighting introduces an anodized finish to its Interconnect Series One cabinet lighting line with an anodized brushed bronze finish and an anodized brushed nickel finish. Unlike powder-coating finishes that could stain and gray over time, Kichler's anodized finishes are extremely durable and won't fade, chip or peel. Plus, the anodized finishes allow for superior heat resistance and provide the premium metallic look of today's trendsetting kitchens.
The fixtures in the Series One line, which feature a sleek 1" depth for low profile use, allow contractors to connect fixtures together directly or bridge fixtures installed under separate cabinets with simple interconnect cables, saving time during installation.
"Both our Linear Lighting accent system and our Cabinet Lighting system offer flexible options that cater to the ever-changing living spaces and needs of homeowners," said Kevin Jacobs, Kichler Lighting Systems product manager. "The new, MRC-11 lampholder will be a great addition to today's high-end kitchens, where light effects can play up great architectural design elements like tall ceilings. And, our new, anodized finishes for Kichler Cabinet Lighting will speak to consumers who pay strict attention to detail and appreciate fine craftsmanship."
