Cooper Wiring Devices' New Decorator Dimmers Combine Elegant Style and Superior Performance

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga., August 15, 2007 - Cooper Wiring Devices today introduced its new line of Decorator dimmers that provide ease of installation and an affordable upgrade in style and dimming capabilities throughout the home.

The new Decorator dimmers, designed to coordinate with Cooper Wiring Devices' rocker-style Decorator switches, feature labor-saving innovations that save both time and money for contractors, builders and homeowners. The increased area of the mounting straps and side and back wired terminals makes installation quicker, while the reduced-size back cover, only 1.25 inches, gives installers more room inside the box for wires. The new dimmers can be used for both single-pole and 3-way wiring configurations and offer Incandescent/Magnetic Low Voltage capabilities in a single SKU.

Once installed, the Decorator dimmers save users money through energy efficiency and extended lamp life. Simply dimming the light halfway reduces energy consumption by 40 percent, while prolonging the life of the light bulb up to 20 times longer than it would without dimming. Cooper Wiring Devices' Decorator dimmers feature a high-gloss finish rocker switch with preset feature; the Decorator-size face fits any decorator or screwless wallplate. Product line offerings include: incandescent/magnetic low voltage and electronic low voltage models in 600W and incandescent/magnetic low voltage in 1000W. A 1.5 amp Quiet 3-Speed Fan Control unit with preset is also offered.
