Munters Introduces AHU-70-Ton Customized Air Conditioning Unit for Efficient Humidity Control, Cooling
Aug 20 2007 - The AHU-70-Ton customized air conditioning unit from Munters Moisture Control Services (MCS) provides humidity control and cooling using chilled water technology. The new system utilizes a packaged chilled water system in conjunction with packaged electric heat that can effectively cool and heat a 28,000-square-foot space.

AHU-70-Ton Customized Air Conditioning Unit
"The AHU-70-Ton has the capability to remove large amounts of water from the air at high temperatures and humidity levels, and features independent control of cooling and heating for deep, efficient dehumidification," said David Simkins, national sales manager - industrial for MCS. "The unit can be coupled with a facility's existing chilled water plant or to our new 65 Ton Chiller. "The equipment can be delivered and installed in just a few days for quick temporary cooling."
The unit's design meets market demand for ease of use and maneuverability. The system installs quickly due to its skid mounted design and single point power connection, and is capable of running in stacked configuration, reducing required site footprint.
Other features of the AHU-70-Ton include:
* High performance design with 200 SCFM per ton design parameters
* 10,000 nominal SCFM
* Delivered air temperatures of 55 degrees
* Configurable air flow with outside air and return air connections
* Weatherproofing with corrosion protected coils for demanding environments
* Electrical controls offering continuous automatic operation including motor starters, overload protection and independent temperature control
