Linear Demonstrates AirVac Central Vacuum Systems To CEDIA Installer Members

    DENVER (September 6, 2007) - At CEDIA Expo 2007 this week, Linear LLC will be demonstrating its line of AirVac central vacuum systems to home electronics system installers in booth 708. More CEDIA installers are adding central vacuum systems to their product lines because they offer good profit margins with ease of installation and maintenance.

    Linear Demonstrates AirVac Central Vacuum System

    Industry research shows that central vacuum units like the Linear AirVac system are currently being installed in 10-15 percent of new homes being built. That number is expected to increase to 30-40% by 2010 as more homeowners see the advantages of owning a central built-in vacuum system. Not only do homeowners appreciate the convenience and efficiency of built-in central vacuum systems, but they also increase the value of the home at resale (typically by $2,000 or more), and they offer environmental advantages, removing more allergens and toxins from the home than portable vacuums.

    For installers, this means central vacuum systems represent a growth market with healthy profit margins. The Linear AirVac Platinum Series system, for example, can be installed in one workday or less at a cost of $2,500, with a 50-percent margin for the installer. Alternately, installers can work with builders to pre-plumb new homes for central vacuums, giving them an opportunity to sell both a central vacuum system and other installed electronic and AV systems to homebuyers.

    At CEDIA Expo, Linear will be demonstrating both its AirVac Platinum series with a disposable bag, and the AirVac Red Series bagless central vacuum systems. Both AirVac systems feature high-performance, 120-volt motors with two-stage, 0.1-micron filtration. The systems are designed to handle cleaning for various sized homes up to 12,000 square feet. The AirVac Red Series comes with a five-year warranty, and the AirVac Platinum series comes with a 10-year warranty.
