Integrity from Marvin Windows and Doors Improves and Refines Wood-Ultrex Casement and Awning WindowsPerformance upgrade offers new features, same strength and durability
FARGO, N.D. - September 20, 2007 - Integrity Windows and Doors is once again raising the bar, adding new features to their Wood-Ultrex casement and awning windows. The windows will maintain the beauty, strength and durability that they are known for, while getting several important new standard features:

Wood-Ultrex Casement and Awning Windows
* WDMA Hallmark DP50 Certification: Integrity's Wood-Ultrex casement and awning windows perform better than ever, thanks to a DP 50 rating. A DP rating measures the strength of a window when it is closed and locked, based on the pressure it can withstand. The third-party certification from the Window & Door Manufacturers Association (WDMA) means that Integrity's toughness has been tested by an independent organization and met the high standards necessary for a DP 50 rating.
* Multipoint Sequential Lock and Heavy Duty Sash Keeper: With just one lever, the multipoint locking system secures the sash to the frame for enhanced performance and structural robustness of the window. The heavy duty sash keeper helps the sash withstand various stressors, such as heavy winds. This new innovation prevents the sash from bowing and flexing in challenging conditions, working in all weather to keep the window's robustness intact. Along with the multipoint sequential lock, this offers unparalleled structural strength.
* Dual-arm Operating Roto Gear: This new operating hardware ensures smooth, dependable operation of the sash in all conditions, and is operated with a newly refined folding handle. Together this new assembly offers improved and consistent operation.
* Removable Hardware: Builders no longer have to work around the hardware at jobsites for window finishing. The awning and casement windows' removable hardware easily removes to simplify window finishing and keep hardware pristine.
* Sizing: Integrity has introduced five new casement sizes, including two egress units, to round out the sizing matrix.
Integrity's newly upgraded Wood-Ultrex casements and awnings continue to be made with the industry's best non-wood window material: Ultrex. Eight times stronger than vinyl with a low-maintenance finish that builders love, Ultrex will not warp, chalk, fade or distort. Ultrex is available in a Bronze finish (a capability that vinyl does not have) and expands and contracts at the same minute rate as glass, eliminating stress crack and seal failure that can compromise performance and energy efficiency. The Wood-Ultrex line offers the classic beauty of real wood on the interior with the toughness of Ultrex on the exterior.
Brett Boyum, Integrity Director of Marketing, says, "Our new performance upgrade for the Wood-Ultrex casement and awning windows allows us to offer our customers enhanced features, but maintain our legendary Ultrex performance, service and support."
Integrity Windows and Doors, winner of the 2007 Best In Class Award (BICA) from Market Resource Associates, Inc. (MRA), is the world's largest and most experienced manufacturer of windows and doors made with Ultrex - a state-of-the-art pultruded fiberglass material. Based in Fargo, N.D., Integrity offers a comprehensive line of window and door products that are Built to perform™ and backed by first-class customer service.
