VERSATEX Enhances Beaded Panel Installation with New "T" Moulding ProfileExpansion Joint Allows for Cleaner Look on Long Panel Runs

Pittsburgh, Pa. (September, 2007)--VERSATEX introduces a time-saving moulding piece for joining long runs of all beaded profiles, especially their popular 4" x 8" and 4" x 10" Beaded Panels. It also leaves a cleaner, more architecturally-pleasing appearance. The new "T" moulding will be 5/8"x 3", with a 1/2" cutout on each edge, leaving a receiver and cover for the normally exposed 4" edges of joining panels.

VERSATEX tongue & groove sheets have the look and feel of individual T&G planks, but can really speed up the installation process, especially in porch ceiling and wainscoting applications. Panels are designed to be compatible with the 1/2" x 6" beadboard planks already available from VERSATEX. This new profile of moulding will actually cut a bit more installation time, reducing the caulking and edge finishing normally associated with butt-joints on panels. The "T" profile nails directly into the joint above, and provides a hidden space for expansion and contraction that normally occur on PVC planks and panels.

    "T" Moulding

"We"ve watched contractors come up with their own methods for covering panel joints in the field, and some of them weren"t pretty," says John Pace, Versatex president. "We"re always looking for ways to provide a more pleasing visual to all areas of the home--so this new moulding profile really makes sense."
