Armstrong Cabinets Recognized for Commitment to Sustainable and Environmental Practices
The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA) awarded Armstrong Cabinets its Environmental Stewardship Program certification for commitment to the responsible use of natural resources through sound environmental management and sustainable practices.
Developed in 2006, the groundbreaking Environmental Stewardship Program grants annual certification to those manufacturers who meet a stringent set of environmental criteria. The criteria are designed to promote the sustainability of natural resources, reduce waste, and to reward those companies who are going above and beyond in their efforts to reduce environmental impacts.

Commitment to Sustainable and Environmental Practices
Armstrong Cabinet's Kalpesh Nanji, manager of product development, says, "At Armstrong, we are committed to fostering sound environmental practices through the products we offer and the processes we use. This industry certification verifies that we are taking the right approach to developing products that contribute to creating a better environment for our customers and our communities.
"The certification means that our products and literature can carry the ESP seal, letting consumers, builders, architects, and designers know that they are supporting sustainability when they buy or specify our products."
To earn the association's ESP certification, Armstrong Cabinets had to demonstrate compliance to a set of standards in five categories: air quality, product resource management, process resource management, environmental stewardship and community relations.
In separate news, Armstrong received the highest numerical score among cabinetry brands in the proprietary J.D. Power and Associates 2007 Cabinet Satisfaction StudySM, ranking the "Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Cabinets."
