Touch 'n Seal Home Sealing Insulating Foam Kits Stop Air Infiltration, Increase R-Value and Contractor Profit

December 3, 2007 - St. Louis, Missouri - Convenience Products, manufacturer of Touch 'n Seal insulating foam products introduces new Touch 'n Seal Home Sealing Foam Kits. The kits are Class 1 fire-retardant, two-component spray polyurethane foam systems designed as an air barrier and add R-value and sound reduction to commercial and residential insulating projects. The kits are available in 300 board feet (item #4004520300) and 1000 board feet (item #4004521000).

"Combined with traditional fiber systems, Touch 'n Seal Home Sealing kits are a cost-effective way to achieve the R-value that comes with complete cavity-fill foam insulation," says Larry Pennock, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Using Foam Kit 300 or 1000 gives you a fast, effective air-sealing through the entire building envelope with minimal effort and maximum economical benefit. Insulators spray about 1/4" of Touch 'n Seal Home Sealing foam around studs and penetrations to form a completely airtight seal, then fill with batt, BIB, net-blown or wet-spray cellulose systems. This "Flash & Batt" process is every bit as efficient as complete cavity filling with foam, but significantly less expensive. Using Touch 'n Seal Home Sealing kits before installing other insulation materials provides an R-value of 5 per inch, with complete elimination of air infiltration," says Pennock.

Touch 'n Seal Foam Kits 300/1000 can be used effectively with all fiber systems, including cellulose, fiberglass and cellulose.
